There are multiple basketball-related reasons for this, but since we aren’t a sports blog, we won’t pretend to know anything about those. The bottom line is the Lakers and the Knicks are in a position that’s quite foreign to them: they’re underdogs.

The Holy Grail when it comes to modifying your BMW is the simple phrase “Plug N’ Play.” In this respect, the ACTIVE-8 is a slam dunk. You’ll find a dedicated, pre-wired engine harness that includes BMW factory-like terminals for quick and easy connect/disconnect. With all the connections pre-labeled within a dedicated wire loom, installation takes little under an hour.
Although set-up is a breeze, there’s nothing generic about the ACTIVE-8; each tuning module is pre-programmed in house for your specific vehicle (this is why we need your VIN during the ordering process).
We get it – peak numbers are sexy. Seeing that dyno graph climax is…exciting. But how you get there is what REALLY matters. Thanks to exponentially faster processing speed the ACTIVE-8 achieves peak horsepower and torque earlier in the power curve. Plus, it does so much smoother and more consistently…It’s pretty much the Steph Curry jump shot of BMW tuning.
The ACTIVE-8 module doesn’t offer different fuel maps to “fit” your modifications. Instead, there are multiple stages available for the end-user to switch to and upgrade from specific to their vehicle. The only real limitation is the octane level available at your local gas station. Conservative gains typically fall in the range of 35 – 65 RWHP – but with some massaging (and 93 octane or higher) we’ve seen as much as 100 RWHP on an otherwise stock M4!
